2015 Chrysler 200 to Arrive in Q2 with 36mpg Highway Fuel Economy

Back at the Detroit Auto Show in January, Chrysler treated us to the long-awaited redesign of their 2015 200 sedan. Of course, that unveiling was all about its looks, and we knew we'd have to wait a few weeks, or even months before we got any more news about it, such as fuel economy and engine specs.

Now that we're a bit closer to the launch window--which is actually quite a bit sooner than we anticipated--we can start to share these numbers with you.

We'll get the release timeframe out of the way first. While we originally anticipated not seeing the 2015 200 until Q3, it turns out we'll actually see it sometime this quarter, which ends at the end of June. That makes sense, since we've since gotten word the car is now in production at the brand's Sterling Heights production facility.

As for the fuel economy? Well, it's rather impressive.

We knew the new 200 would get gas mileage significantly better than the current, Sebring-based variant due to the aerodynamic nature of the next gen sedan's design. With a 2.4L Tigershark engine under the bonnet, Chrysler says the sedan will garner 36 mpg highway, beating out two of its top competitors. The 3.6L Pentastar option will garner 29 mpg.

With the launch of this new Chrysler model looming, we think there's no better time than now to make sure all your ducks are in a row for its launch. To learn more, contact our representatives at our Tomah, WI dealership with your questions.
